EXPLORING THE ART OF NATURE

Magnificent Matter is a Berlin-based artist collective founded by Maximilian Schertz and Alexander Poletajev, dedicated to exploring the boundaries of art and science through the lens of microscopy. The collective's work encompasses a wide range of media, including microscopic photography, art installations, AI art, music videos, and live performances, all of which aim to showcase the beauty and wonder of the tiny worlds around us.

At the heart of Magnificent Matter's practice is a commitment to interdisciplinary exploration and experimentation. Using cutting-edge technologies such as microfluidics, 3D printing, microscopy and more, the artists aim to push the limits of what is possible, and to create new and unexpected experiences for audiences. Whether capturing the ethereal beauty of microscopic life forms or creating immersive installations that invite viewers to experience the beauty of the microscopic world, Magnificent Matter is dedicated to uncovering and presenting the art of nature.

The collective's mission is to bring audiences closer to the natural world, and to encourage them to explore the mysteries of existence in a more meaningful and grounded way. Through their work, Magnificent Matter hopes to inspire individuals to slow down, to pay attention to the beauty of their near environment, and to reconnect with the interconnected systems of organisms that make up our world.

Whether capturing the beauty of a single paramecium, or exploring the complex and dynamic interactions of liquids and other materials, Magnificent Matter's work is characterized by its balance of beauty, wonder, and scientific rigor. By combining abstract art with science, the collective is creating a new kind of visual journey, one that invites audiences to connect with the world in a more profound and intimate way.

So if you're looking to explore the boundaries of art and science, to experience the beauty of the microscopic world, or simply to connect with the art of nature, come and discover the work of Magnificent Matter.
